I was looking around for Singapore or Southeast Asia tech-for-good opportunities where I could possibly contribute software, QA, AI, product, hardware, or related skills.

This is not meant to be a comprehensive directory or a recommendation list. It is just what I found so far, shared in case it is useful to someone else.

There are broader overviews out there. Smart Nation’s engagement programmes page is useful context for government-linked programmes. Global directories like Civic Tech Field Guide are useful for understanding the wider field. But those were not exactly what I was looking for.

I was more interested in concrete organisations or opportunities that looked public, volunteer-friendly, or at least worth checking again later.

So I made a small working page:

What I Found

Better.sg was the clearest Singapore-focused starting point for volunteer software and civic-tech work. It also has its own ecosystem of projects, including CheckMate, Schemes.sg, and RecycleGoWhere.

Engineering Good covers a different part of the space: assistive technology, digital inclusion, laptop maintenance, and practical engineering for vulnerable communities. This seems especially relevant for people who prefer hardware, maker, or accessibility-oriented work.

GoodHub SEA is broader geographically, focused on digital volunteerism and tech-for-good projects in Southeast Asia. Their Good Hack page is also something I would check again when future sign-ups open.
